Alaska Mission Trip 2023
This July we are excited to be going to Palmer, Alaska! We went to Alaska last year and helped a local Baptist church and ran kids camps. This summer we are doing a church plant with other Mississippi Baptists. Here are a few photos from our mission trip last summer.
International Missions
Mt. Zion Baptist Church is a missions-minded church which supports missionaries around the world. We are enthusiastic about the Lottie Moon Offering which raised over ten thousand dollars in 2019. The church gives generously to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, with a goal of $3,500 dollars this year! We are especially honored to give regularly to the Bien’s in Thailand (with Grace International School). Mt. Zion is also a big supporter of Operation Christmas Child. We have a team of volunteers who lead, encourage and support the church in meeting the requirements for packing shoeboxes for Jesus’ sake which go around the world and which provide gifts as well as the Gospel to children and their families!
National Missions
Mt. Zion Baptist Church is a missions-minded church which supports missionaries right here in the United Stated of America. We are proud to support ministers in training at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with regular monthly giving. The church also supports Southern Baptist missionaries here in the States, including the Crockett family in Montana and the Monteith family in Massachusetts. Our WMU and Brotherhood often overlap in providing support to these missions causes.
Local Missions
Mt. Zion Baptist Church doesn’t lose sight of the fact we have opportunity to mission right here in the community of Coldwater and beyond. We have local outreach opportunities for the community right here at our church as well as sending teams into local nursing homes and trying to meet needs locally in times of need like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
